The SILLIMAN TIPON 2013 will take place in Dumaguete City on August 22, 23, 24, & 25, 2013. We will keep you informed as soon as details of the plans and programs of this big gathering of Sillimanians unfold. So, mark your calendars and firm up your plans now. As soon as the Committee puts out its complete details, waste no time in reserving and making arrangements for this most meaningful and memorable experience.
The Tipon Committee is one of the standing committees of the Silliman University Alumni Council of North America (SUACONA). SUACONA serves as umbrella of all registered and recognized SU Alumni chapters in and around North America, including Hawaii. SUACONA is dedicated to, and works hand-in-hand with Silliman University in upholding its vision and supporting its mission. First TIPON: (Tipon 2001) was held in Chicago, Illinois. It was the first large-scale get-together of Silliman alumni outside the SU campus, and it set the tone for future tipons or conventions thereafter. Second TIPON: (Tipon 2003) Teaneck, New Jersey Third TIPON: (Tipon 2005 ) Anaheim, California Fourth TIPON: (Tipon 2007)Toronto, Ontario, Canada Fifth TIPON: (Tipon 2009) Orlando, Florida Sixth TIPON: (Tipon 2011) Fairbanks, Alaska For the first time Tipon Silliman will be held, not only outside of America, but right at home on the SU campus. Tipon 2013 is viewed as "coming back to our roots" by all alumni. For some it can be a sentimental journey; for others it can be a fulfillment of long or often postponed planned visit.
